Abstract
- The article reports that major energy industries firms including Exxon Mobil Corp., Encana Corp. and ConcoPhillips announced they had reduced their production of natural gas in the first quarter of 2012. The impact of declining production on U.S. natural gas prices is considered. It is noted prices are at their lowest level in more than 10 years in 2012 due to glut of supplies.
