Abstract
- The article presents information on several catastrophic weather events that have impacted the global economy. Catastrophic weather in Japan, Thailand, Australia, and the U.S. have interrupted global supply chains. According to World Bank statistics, international trade in goods and services grew by 6.4 percent in 2011, and there was also an increase in liquefied natural gas (LNG) trade.
