Abstract
- The article reports that first-quarter earnings reports for 2012 at diversified, commodity, and industrial gases companies showed mixed results, citing increasing stability in U.S. markets and industrial segments that was offset by poor economic conditions in Europe. Statistics for sales and net income in millions for several chemical companies including Dow Chemical, 3M, and Praxair are presented.
