Abstract

In this article, the author discusses the implications of the U.S. Supreme Court case Padilla v. Kentucky on practice in the U.S. district courts. He mentions that the court's decision in this case reminds that the plea process and its implications should never be dismissed. He suggests that the courts should always consider the consequences that might result from a defendant's plea of guilty.
