Abstract

The article focuses on the opportunities for vendors and retailers provided by the big-screen television (TV) segment in the U.S. Distribution for the largest models to mass-merchant and warehouse club retail channels have been made, such as the 60-, 70- and 80-inch classes of Sharp Aquos liquid crystal display (LSD) TV adopted by Walmart. According to Brian Siegel of Sony Electronics, manufacturers and retailers are communicating the technology advantage of the segment to consumers.
