Abstract
- The article examines the impact on minority enrollment in Texas graduate schools made by the 2003 Supreme Court case of Grutter v. Bollinger, which upheld the right to use affirmative action in admissions practices. Results of the study found an increase in minority enrollment at public institutions, the effects of selectivity, and a minimal impact on private schools. Other similar cases referenced include 1978's Regents of the University of California v. Bakke, 1996's Hopwood v. University of Texas Law School, and 2003's Gratz v. Bollinger.
