Abstract

The carbon nanotubes (CNTs) is modified with a acids treated processing to shorten the length of CNTs, increase reactive groups especially the carboxyl on the surface of CNTs, and improve the dispersion in aqueous solution. The structure and groups of CNTs were determined with the SEM, FTIR and XPS. the synthesis of polyaniline nanotubes was taken by use of the template and reactor of CNTs, show the good nanometer-size and tuber crystalline structure by the anlysis of TG, DSC and UV/Vis. Moreover, the room-temperature conductivities of the synthesized polyaniline nanotubes are 0.6 S/cm, much higher than that of the common amorphous granular polyaniline. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
