Abstract
- Features a study that developed an approach for controlling the electron trajectories in a relativistic electron beam diode which is based on appropriately contouring an externally generated, axial magnetic field. Technique for designing low-current, electrostatically focused electron guns; Analysis of the diode geometry to illustrate the solution technique; Assumptions used in the analysis.
