Abstract
- Nowadays young people are marrying less and later, and lengthen their stay in the parental home, while it is becoming increasingly common to experience alternative relationships such as cohabitation, partnerships without co-residence and even singlehood. Within this context this paper develops an approach to partnership formation of young women in Spain. The analysis includes the socio-demographic factors (age, educational attainment, labor force activity, living at the parental home, previous experience on co-residential relationships, parental divorce and having children or not) affecting the partnership status of women aged 20 and 35 at the time of the survey. It is run a multinomial logistic regression model with data drawn from the Fertility, Family and Values Survey of 2006. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
