Abstract

The article discusses library and information science in Pakistan as of April 2012, with a focus on library users and their expectations concerning library and information services provision. Topics include expectations among students and university faculty, the library service quality metric LibQUAL Protocol, and LibQUAL's reliance on disconfirmation and confirmation theory. Additional information is presented on libraries at Punjab University (PU), the knowledge of library staff, and exploratory/confirmatory factor analysis (E/CFA).
