Abstract: The article presents a case study of a 77 year old white male patient who was treated with a total gastrectomy for a gastrointestinal stromal tumor in 2006. A discussion of plasma and bile pharmacokinetics data of imatinib and its main metabolite CGP74588 which were obtained from the patient is presented.
