Chernobyl's Twenty-Year Experience on Radiation Protection.

The article presents information on radiation protection measures taken in Chernobyl, since the Chernobyl Nuclear Accident took place in Chernobyl, Ukraine, in 1986. As a result of stakeholder involvement, doctors took part in an effort to engage the local population in the development of a radiation protection culture, which had a positive impact on public health. Local stakeholders played an active role in planning for emergency management in case of any future contamination event.
