Abstract
- I shall discuss experiments which form part of a comprehensive physics program aimed at the study of the spin structure of the neutron using a polarized 3He target and a polarized beam at Jefferson Lab in Hall A. The spin structure of the nucleon at short and large distances is investigated using sum rules that span the full spectrum of 4-momentum transfers. An outlook on the possibilities offered by the 12 GeV upgrade of Jefferson Lab will be presented. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
