Abstract

The B2-type CdRE (RE = La, Ce, and Pr) compounds have been studied with respect to their electronic and thermal properties by using self-consistent tight binding linear muffin tin orbital method for the first time at ambient pressure. These compounds show metallic behaviour under ambient conditions. While thermal properties like Debye temperature and Grüneisen constant are predicted at T = 0 K within the Debye-Grüneisen model.
