Abstract

The article focuses on genetic in vivo methods for protein-protein interaction (PPI) studies. Two main categories of technologies are presented such as two-hybrid systems and complementation assays (PCA). Descriptions are offered on the two-hybrid technologies such as dual organism two-hybrid, two-bait hybrid and reverse two-hybrid. Also discussed are the PCA technologies such as split-luciferase, split-ubiquitin and split-fluorescent protein.
