NOTORIAMENTE Y OTROS ADVERBIOS MODALES DE VALORACIÓN EPISTÉMICA.

In this paper we examine the words notoriamente, visiblemente, perceptiblemente, manifiestamente and ostensiblemente as sentence adverbs or disjuncts in current Spanish. The analysis of their syntactic, semantic and discourse properties allows us to consider them as sentence adverbs of epistemic modality, quite close to other adverbs that express evidence or certainty, just like evidentemente or claramente.
