One of the most important working lines of EU Social Law is the building of common ways of dealing with the workers' representation within the undertaking. Directive 2002/14/EC was a decisive step, being a global text that regulated the issue as its main question, and not in a fractionated way as before. Its impact, nonetheless, has been very different.
