Expression of 5 S rRNA genes linked to 35 S rDNA in plants, their epigenetic modification and regulatory element divergence.

The article presents a study that examines the association between the expression of 5S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) genes and the 35 S recombinant DNA (rDNA) in plants, along with their epigenetic modification. It notes that the methylation status of the genes has been determined using the bisulfite sequencing. Moreover, results confirmed that the extraordinary 5 S gene dynamics has been manifested at different levels, including the variation in intrachromosomal positions.
