Abstract
- The article reports on research conducted to describe the anthropometric characteristics of female handball players and to identify the possible differences in these parameters in terms of playing positions. Researchers evaluated 130 elite players. They found that wings were less heavy, shorter, and showed a smaller arm span than did goalkeepers, backs and pivots, that pivots were heavier than centers and that backs and pivots exhibited higher muscular mass than wings.
