The impact of the “valuing culture” debates in the UK, 2003–2011.

The author discusses cultural value debate in Great Britain which seeks to influence public funding of cultural institutions. He states that the debate was a failure because of there is no sufficient multidisciplinary dialogue, lack of empirical valuation studies, and failure of cultural leadership. He argues that the best institutions that could handle the cultural institutions is the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).
