Abstract
- An electroconductive polyester yarn is used to fabricate an embroidered wearable monopole antenna for ultrawideband applications. Here, the structure of this embroidered antenna is a common coplanar waveguide-fed circular disk monopole antenna. From the experimental results, a 10-dB impedance bandwidth from 2.7 to 10.62 GHz is measured, while steady gains with near omnidirectional radiation patterns are exhibited within the bands of interest. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
