Abstract

The article reports that Israel has made a deal with the U.S. aerospace company Lockheed Martin to allow the use of Israeli electronic warfare (EW) equipment on the Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF). The article argues that the deal shows an awareness of limitations of stealth capabilities in aircraft, also noting that the deal will reduce the costs of the aircraft for Israel. Other topics include the JSF's avionics, airplane software development, and system integration.
