Abstract
- The article focuses on the dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs) which features a moderate power conversion efficiency (PCE), low cost and plasticity. It mentions that the introduction of nanocrystalline semiconductor (metal oxide) mesoporous films is the major break through in the development of DSCs. It further mentions that titanium oxide-based DSCs performance level is low due to the fast recombination dynamics, low voltage value and poor adsorption capacity of sensitizer.
