Abstract

The article focuses on the discovery of 2011 L4 comet by the PanSTARRS/1 1.8 meter telescope in Haleakala, Maui, Hawaii. It states that Gareth Williams made computations at the Minor Planet Center which showed that the comet would pass through perihelion on March 11, 2013 from the Sun. It mentions that the comet was a 19th magnitude object, only observable with large telescopes or with very long exposures.
