REALÇÕES ENTRE RELIGIOSIDADE E MATERNIDADE.

This paper presents the meaning of the experience of motherhood as a mystical sense, relating to motherhood feminine spirituality. For that, theoretically discourses the themes of Shadow and the numinosity feminine principle of motherhood, the symbolic and religious notions of the feminine mystique and the archetypal imagery of the religious dimension of motherhood, using the assumptions of the analytical approach of Jung's psychology. Thus by observing the strong Christian influence in Western culture, affirmed by the scientific literature on the subject, the Marian model of motherhood is studied, as well as what can be symbolic and what can be diabolic in the experience of motherhood for the contemporary woman. Finally, this paper presents a discussion of motherhood as an experience to archetypal woman, expressed through symbols and providing integration and expansion of self consciousness.
