Abstract
- The article focuses on development of the 802.11n and 802.11ac advanced wireless standards. These standards were created to enhance wireless connectivity for end-users for a better mobile computing experience. The first standard, created in 2009, raised the network throughput of earlier standards, allowing a maximum PHY rate of 450 M/bits in a three spatial stream configuration. The latest standard operates only in the 5-GHz band in an optimum PHY data rate of 1.3 Gbits/s or higher.
