Improved modelling of Siberian river flow through the use of an alternative frozen soil hydrology scheme in a land surface model.

The article presents a study which aimed for an improved Siberian river flow modelling, with the use of an alternative frozen soil hydrology scheme. The study described and implemented a parameterisation for the incorporation of frozen soil's effects on modelled hydrology in a land surface model. Results revealed the important effects of the variations in methods for modelling the soil water physics on water storage and runoff.
