Abstract

The article reports the U.S. Army spent $900 million on tri-mode seeker technology for a Joint Air-to-Ground Missile project that might be delayed by budget cuts. Lockheed Martin company is developing an imaging infrared sensor (IR) for its dual-mode version of the seeker. Raytheon company is confident it can build the tri-mode seeker that includes an uncooled imaging IR sensor.
