Abstract: The article presents information on a paper presented at the Northeastern Political Science Association Annual Conference in Boston, Massachusetts from November 11-13, 2010. The paper investigates the political behavior theories developed in the U.S. and their degree of applicability in Asia. It further discusses the features and degree of political participation in several Asian countries while accounting for the patterns of participation.
