Abstract

The article focuses on Sophora tonkinensis, a genus plant belongs to the Leguminosae family, which is known as Guang-Dou-Gen in Chinese. It says that S. tonkinensis' roots and stems are used as a traditional Chinese drug for sore throats and pharyngolaryngeal infections treatment. It mentions the compounds which were isolated from the genus including calycosin, daidzein, and 8-O-methylretusin.
