LA HISTORIOGRAFÍA PARAGUAYA. LOS TEXTOS ESCOLARES DE HISTORIA. EXPERIENCIA VIVIDA EN LA POSGUERRA DE 1870.

Plata historiography is based on these times, on analysis of History texts studied on post-war on the 70's. A war that started in 1864 and finished with Francisco Solano López's death in 1870. A Ramón Indalecio Cardozo's biography was the guide to the description of the present work. There, it was possible to testify that the first History text studied on post-war was Compendio de historia del Paraguay, written by Terán and Gamba and reached 16th edition. Geography was studied with a book of Cossio Argentinean contents, with Argentinean History and the teaching and interpretation of the war, kept against Triple Alliance from winners' perspective. Post-war political conjuncture against triple alliance led to stereotypes' formation against the figure of our governors: Dr. José Gaspar Rodríguez de Francia with Carlos Antonio and Francisco Solano López. This fact produced an ideological difference and divided the good and bad ones' History in the country. This work, with other historian colleagues, ahs as aim to reach a more understanding History, leaving aside the stereotypes against governors and it is also expected that a brotherhood and cooperation view is constructed among the peoples who provoked this unintelligible war studied by historians all over the world.
