Abstract
- The author offers opinions on 2012 U.S. Republican Party Vice-Presidential candidate Paul Ryan. Ryan's economic policy proposals are mocked for being inspired by the author Ayn Rand in her book "Atlas Shrugged," which the author states would result in policies harmful to the poor and also contain unrealistic elements such as a return to the gold standard in monetary policy.
