Abstract
- The article examines the growth of the Indian and Pakistani immigrant populations in the U.S. Based on the 2010 census, Indian Americans are among the fastest growing immigrant groups in the country. The largest wave of immigration by Indians to the U.S. took place between 1995 and 2000. Some Pakistani Americans have been forced to pose as Indians to avoid the negative impact of the presence of Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan at the time of his death in 2011 and the Times Square bomb scare in 2010.
