Aromatic Amide Foldamers: Structures, Properties, and Functions.

The article discusses synthesis of aromatic amide foldamers which are chain of molecules and oligomers that adopts secondary structure of proteins stabilized by non covalent interactions. The molecular design and development of hydrogen bonding patterns in aromatic amide foldamers is discussed. It also refers to design principles and basic synthetic strategies that should be employed for preparation of foldamers.
