Abstract
- The article presents a study which focuses on comparison of aircraft measurements of carbon dioxide and methane in calibrating ground-based high-resolution Fourier Transform Spectrometers (g-b FTSs) with Greenhouse gases Observing Satellite (GOSAT). The study used airborne in situ and flask-sampling instruments which were mounted into the aircraft. The comparison shows that the impact of contributing factors, aerosol and thin cirrus cloud, on the retrieval from GOSAT were not negligible.
