Abstract
- The article discusses about a study determining the perceptions of preparation for work-specific tasks by professional baseball athletic trainers (PBATs) and its interaction with perceived skills. The method included a retrospective pretest-post test design of 180 PBATs which indicated the under-preparedness for tasks unique to professional baseball. The findings of the study revealed the complexity of organizational socialization process and need of better exposure to such areas of practice.
