Abstract
- The use of psychological approaches by community assertive outreach teams has generally meant a move away from traditional clinic-based therapy sessions with people who experience psychosis. Sharing the client's own environment -- their homes -- can reveal more about the nature and impact of their psychotic experiences, and working alongside the person in real-life situations can strengthen the therapeutic alliance. This article describes the risks and challenges of using this approach and emphasises the importance of team support in addressing them. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
