Abstract

The article discusses a study on the prevalence of low back pain (LBP) among the middle-age and elderly rural community residents in Korea and the relevant lifestyle risk factors and relationship between lumbar spine and LBP. Anseong, South Korea, a rural farming community was chosen. It concludes that the prevalence of LBP among Korean rural community residents was comparable with other population groups and the risk factors associated with LBP include advanced age, female sex and squatting.
