Abstract
- The article presents a retrospective study on the safety and effectiveness of clozapine and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) for adolescents with schizophrenia. The study involves 28 adolescents subjects with ages ranging from 13 to 18 years-old with diagnosis of schizophrenia spectrum disorders (SSDs) and treated with ECT. The study based on Clinical Global Impression (CGI) and Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) scores reveals that safetiness and effectiveness of both treatments.
