Abstract
- The article discusses the settlement of a long-running lawsuit by the Association of American Publishers (AAP) and several publisher plaintiffs, including McGraw-Hill, against Internet search company Google on October 4, 2012. The lawsuit, filed in 2005, challenged Google's practice of scanning library books. As a result of the settlement, publishers can choose to make their books available for search or purchase via Google Books and Google Play, respectively, or remove them.
