NEW DIRECTIONS for the ASSOCIATION.

The article focuses on the 2012-2015 Strategic Plan of the Texas Library Association (TLA). A background is provided starting with the creation of the Strategic Planning Task Force. The threefold purpose of the planning process are provided along with the member survey and the nine key concepts identified in the environment. Key components of the plan are presented including the mission, values and vision. Key areas of focus are discussed involving five strategic initiatives.
