Abstract
- Current attempts to predict small perturbations in spectra of atoms and molecules below the 1 Hz range arising from fundamental symmetry breaking predicted by the standard model and beyond are reviewed for a few selected examples. These include effects from P-odd and CP-odd interactions, the variation of fundamental constants in space-time, and the nuclear hexadecapole coupling to the electronic movement.
