Abstract
- An essay is presented that discusses artwork and poetry in the six-volume work "My Book House," edited by Olive Beaupré Miller. It is said that the work is influenced by the modernist book design principles of publisher William Morris due to the cultural network of modernists in Chicago, Illinois during the 1920s. Morris's 1893 lecture "The Ideal Book" is noted. The relation of Miller's typefaces to common Victorian typeface is addressed.
