Abstract

The article discusses the results of a study that determines the correlation between increased birth weight and maternal body composition parameters. A univariable analysis of predictors shows that maternal age, body mass index (BMI), gestationAL age at delivery, parity, smoking and fat mass are correlated with birth weight. It noted the positive correlation of birth weight with maternal fat-free mass.
