Abstract
- The article analyzes the poetry of Nikolay Rubtsov. According to the authors, Rubtsov's poetry has a calm and quiet rhythm, but also contains an elegant fury that gives rise to meaning and passion. They claim that his poems represent a continuous chase which goes in a circular motion that advances round and round towards a point of infinity. In the poem "The Stranger," they claim that there is awe and sorrow for nature, but there is also a deep revolt in the knowledge of his land's future.
