Abstract
- The article looks at the expected increase of share buybacks by U.S. companies in 2013. It states that the strategy, used by companies such as conglomerate General Electric and computer technology company International Business Machines, can increase a company's earnings per share rate. Particular attention is given to its use by companies in the Standard and Poor's 500-stock index (S&P).
