Abstract

The article reports on a study that found high rates of hyperprolactinemia among risperidone-treated youth. Results indicated a possibility of gynecomastia and sexual dysfunction in relation to risperidone treatment. Researchers have further concluded that hyperprolactinemia is a common side effect among individuals undergoing long term treatment with risperidone.
