In this article, the author reflects upon the popularity of bead shows and bazaars in the U.S. in the late-20th and early-21st centuries. Particular focus is given to the Bead Society of Los Angeles Bazaar in Los Angleles, California. Several individuals involved in the Bead Society Bazaar are also noted including Joan Eppen, Hilary Whittaker and Paul Johnson.
