Abstract
- The article presents the result of the Labour Force Survey, conducted by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) in Great Britain in 2011. Result shows that around 3 in 4, or 75% of workers take less than half an hour to travel from home to work. However, commuting patterns are vastly different between workers in London and those working in the rest of the region. People working in London tend to travel longer to get to work, with 56% needing to commute for more than 30 minutes to get to work every day. On the other hand, those working in the rest of the region, only 20% need to travel as long to reach their workplace.
