A New Looking Glass: Historic Harvard Plates.

An interview with head of the Digital Access to a Sky Century @ Harvard (DASCH) project, Jonathan Grindlay, is presented. He discusses what led to Harvard College Observatory (HCO) to begin its telescopic imaging project, DASCH's goal of making digital copies of HCO's photographic plates of telescope images, and the creation of a customized scanner and software for digitizing and analyzing the glass plate images.
